Babbling slanderer

Hello again!

Here is what I have found in God’s word today!

Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets; therefore do not associate with a simple babbler.

Pro 20:19

Here is the short and simple explanation for that verse (At least it’s short etc in my eyes) ……… DON’T SLANDER! See? Just two words.

Slandering is when you try to hurt another person by talking badly about them aka gossiping.

But really, just reread that verse

Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets; therefore do not associate with a simple babbler.

Pro 20:19

Not only do you give away secrets, but you will be counted as a “simple babbler”… Ouch, I don’t much  care to be called a “simple babbler”…

So, if you don’t want to be a called a simple babbler either, then just….. DON’T SLANDER!  Of course, that’s like just saying no to your flesh, it is impossible to do by your self! If you struggle with slandering, then go to the Lord and to your pastor, or to one of your brothers in the lord.

Theives and children

Hello again!

Here is what God showed me in his word today:

Pro 20:10

Unequal weights and unequal measures are both alike an abomination to the LORD.

Pro 20:11

Even a child makes himself known by his acts, by whether his conduct is pure and upright.

Hm, even children are known by what they do, how much more than should adults handle themselves with care, and make sure that they set a good example for their children? Some people you will find have no rules, and pride themselves on it, however, their children don’t know how to live, why not put a sledge hammer though the wall? And then their parent’s punish them, when it was in fact their fault for having no rules, albeit the child should have known not to do that, but with no rules, who can tell what to do and what not to do?

Other’s go to the other side, and have to many rules and to high expectations for their children, and punish them for the smallest things.

So, that is how an adult may influence their children to disobey, or for the parents to be in fact, cruel to their children. But that is only half of the two verses.

I thought it would be best in this case for you to learn the last before the first, because now that you know how it would affect you’re children wife/husband then you will have a better understanding of just how wrong stealing is:

Unequal weights and unequal measures are both alike an abomination to the LORD.

Wow, just think about it, if we steal, it is like a abomination to God! Just imagine how horrible it would be, to find you’re self in front of Jesus, and to not only have led you’re children into sin, but to also have been a abomination to God almighty! I sure don’t want that to be me, but, if you have stolen, then there are really just about three things you must do to be forgiven:

1. Return what ever you have stolen, or if you have sold it traded it etc, then give what ever you got for it to the person you stole the original item, or even sell what you got or use the money you have to buy a new one, then after you have returned it, ask the person to forgive you.

2. Ask God to forgive you, and whole heartedly , and completely ask him to forgive you and to keep you from doing it again.

3. Ask a fellow brother or sister in Christ to help you, and to hold you accountable, and also ask them to pray for you. A personally recommend this site for you, http://www.settingcaptivesfree.com/other-courses/ specifically the bottom of the page.

Cursing others = being cursed

Hello again!

This what God gave me today:

20 Whoso curseth his father or his mother, His lamp shall be put out in blackness of darkness.

Prov 20:20 (ASV)

Realy, I only got one thing out of this, and that thing was this, DON’T CURSE YOU’RE PARENTS, And, don’t cures just plain out.

If you happened to get something else out of the passage, please feal free to comment about it!

The king’s rath, and Jesus

Hello again!

Today what God gave me is this:

The terror of a king is like the growling of a lion; whoever provokes him to anger forfeits his life.

(Proverbs 20:2)

Wow, if that doesn’t scream GOSPEL, GOSPEL, then I don’t know what will!

The terror of the king (God’s anger) But, since this is something I call a “shadow” (which just means that it is not completely the gospel, so it’s a “shadow”) it’s not complete, that is why the next part, which says whoever provokes him to anger forfeits his life. it’s close, but not perfect, when did you see Jesus provoking God!?

So, all that to say this, God’s wrath (terror) was great, so great in fact, that Jesus had to forfeit his life to get it away from us!

Isn’t that UTTERLY AND COMPLTELY AMMAZING!

In my mind it is, and always will be.

discretion and glory

Hello again!

Here is what God gave me out of his word today:

11 The discretion of a man maketh him slow to anger; And it is his glory to pass over a transgression.

Prov 19:11 (ASV)

I believe this verse pretty much speaks for itself, but there is always room for a little clarifaction, right?

So, discreation makes you slow to anger, occording to the dictionairy that word means: Freedom to act or judge on one’s own. so Jesus CERTAINLY had discretion don’t you think?

He was very slow to anger, the only time  (That I can currently think of) in the scriptures that you see Jesus getting angry, is when people where buying and selling in the temple.

But, it is also good for us to”pass over transgressions/sin”, and I think that, that is saying that if somone sins against us, (depending on the sin) we are to ignore it, now what I mean by “depending on the sin” is this, if somone murders you’re wife and kids, then comes to you the next day and says “sorry” then you are to forgive him, but not ignore it… exactly, you need to contact the police, and then forgive him, and then ignore it as much as is humanly possible.

fool+lies=destruction

Hello again!

Here is what I found in the scriptures today:

A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will perish.
(Proverbs 19:9)

……Wow, makes you think about the pharises, about how when they arrested Jesus the brought in “false witnesses” And how the pharises in that case(and many others) LITERALY breathed lies…. Have you ever heard about how it seemed like every time Jesus opened his mouth, out came some parable or word of help. Well with the pharises, it seems like every time that opened “their” mouths, out came a spurt of lies about Jesus.

And if we are not carfull we will do the same thing, thats why every day we need to watch our tongs, how about today, you try and only say things that build up and encourage people. Or don’t say anything at all, if you don’t have somthing good to say.

The theologain and the Christain

Hello again!

Here is what I got out of God’s word today:

“The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook.”

(Proverbs 18:4)

What I got out of this verse was that, a man, may sound great, may look great behind a pulpit, may talk nice, and lead you to think that his knowledge is deep…. Deeper then the cross, after all, you learn about the cross as a “FIRST GRADE CHRISTAIN”……… WRONG!!!!!!!!! There is no such thing as a “first grade christain”

But, a wise man, a christain, with no names in front or behind it, is like a bubling brook, he does not lead you to believe that he has a “deeper” taeching, but instead, he is God lead, and he bubles out God’s word to everyone he meats.

Does that sound like you’re pastor?
