Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off

04 Apr

Hello again!

This is what God gave me today in his word:

My inmost being will exult when your lips speak what is right. Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the fear of the LORD all the day. Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off. (Pro 23:16-18)

When you’re hard pressed to get any sort of money at all, and it seems like God has abandoned you, please remember this passage… There is a future! Our hope is Jesus, and when he died it seemed like all hope was lost, but then he rose again and it turned out our hope was not cut off!

Can I ask you something? Why is it we should envy the debt collectors (sinners)? Because while they may have 15 trillion dollars in national civilian debt, but they don’t all have Christ… If you gain the whole word, but end up losing your soul, what good is the world to you? … I hate to make it seem like the debt collectors are evil, they aren’t, I just believe this should be a world without debt… The bible also agrees with me, but that’s aside from the point. The point is; we shouldn’t envy those who are rich or despise those who are poor, instead, we should “keep on hoping and keep on praying”.

When we trust in Jesus (the) Christ, we have hope, and when we have hope, we have the possibility of “something better”… “Something better” means a new world and a new life, a new way of living… Living for Jesus! When people have lost their ability to hope, they’ve lost their ability to live… At least, to live with purpose to their lives… Why do people kill themselves?! Because they have no hope, they have no Jesus in their life! If you don’t know the greatest hope there is, Jesus, please accept him today!

You are loved!

Joshua Cleveland
