This is what God gave me today in his word:
In that day the Lord will extend his hand yet a second time to recover the remnant that remains of his people, from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea. He will raise a signal for the nations and will assemble the banished of Israel, and gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. (Isa 11:11-12)
First off, I would like to clear something up; there is a common misconception that when the bible says “four corners of the earth” the bible is contradicting science… Just to clear that up now; “the four corners of the earth” comes from a translation error, with the error fixed, it reads “from the four quadrants of the earth”. One quadrant is one-fourth of a circle.
With that cleared up; what exactly is it talking about here? Well, it seems to be talking about the time when God will save everyone… Interesting the sequence of events that been leading up to this. First we have God’s wrath at Israel, than we saw how “a root from the stump of Jesse will burst forth”, and now we seem to be seeing God forgiving everyone. G.O.S.P.E.L. O.F. J.E.S.U.S.! First God’s wrath raged against us, then Jesus came, died and rose again for us, and now we are saved!
Thank you Jesus!
You are loved!
