The Prediction, Action, and Result.

17 Jun

Hello again!

This is what God gave me today in his word:

The LORD has bared his holy arm before the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God. (Isa 52:10)

Behold, my servant shall act wisely; he shall be high and lifted up, and shall be exalted. As many were astonished at you– his appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance, and his form beyond that of the children of mankind– so shall he sprinkle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths because of him; for that which has not been told them they see, and that which they have not heard they understand. (Isa 52:13-15)

The Prediction

The LORD has bared his holy arm before the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.  Translation:

All the ends of the Earth “shall” or “yet have to” see the Salvation; God is predicting his son’s death.

The Action

“Behold, my servant shall act wisely; he shall be high and lifted up, and shall be exalted. As many were astonished at you– his appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance, and his form beyond that of the children of mankind”  Translation:

Instead of taking the chance offered to him to become King of Jerusalem, Christ choose to be crucified so that all people could be saved. And to do that, he had to be beaten until he was unrecognizable and in the end; crucified. – The Action of Christ

The Result

so shall he sprinkle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths because of him; for that which has not been told them they see, and that which they have not heard they understand. Translation:

Through dying Christ “sprinkled” himself – for proof that he sprinkled himself and not something else, just read a little further in the verse above – on “many nations”. And because of him sprinkling himself on those nations they (we) understand the truth of the Gospel; believed it and are saved. – The Result of Christ

You are loved!
