The Trinity

28 Jun

Hello again!

This is what God gave me today in his word:

1 Who is this who comes from Edom, in crimsoned garments from Bozrah, he who is splendid in his apparel, marching in the greatness of his strength? “It is I, speaking in righteousness, mighty to save.” (Isaiah 63:1)

Lately I’ve got a couple of comment’s stating that the Trinity doesn’t in fact exist. So I’ve decided to share a few verses on the subject.

26 Then God said, “Let us [plural] make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a]and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

27 So God created mankind in his own image,
   in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:26-27)

Notice how God says let us create man in our image. Then he alone does it…

1 The LORD appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day. 2 Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground. (Genesis 18:1-2)

I don’t think that requires any explanation.

7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. (1 John 5:7)

30 I and My Father are one.”
31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. (John 10:30-31)

38 but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe[a] that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.” (John 10:38)

45 And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. (John 12:45)

God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one and the same, but are all three distinctly different persons. Yes it’s hard to understand. – Isaiah 55:8-9

You are loved!

Right on Joshua, and dads right too, because it’s clear to see that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are three in one.

Joshua, this is an excellent post on the Trinity! It is nothing but unspiritual, blind logic that prevents people from seeing the Trinity, for there are numerous passages all over the Bible clearly teaching the Trinity. You have done a good job showing some of them here!
