Please Pray for My Mom

14 Feb

Hello again!

Today, at around 5:00 A.M. (EST), my mom started having severe pains in here chest, along with heavy breathing. My dad took her to the hospital, and they suspect that she had a small heart attack. So, I’m asking if you could please pray for her.

Thank you,

Prayers will continue Joshua but I wanted to post too. God is our strength and shield; our strong tower. In times of trouble HE IS always there. He is our healer, our comforter. We claim all of these heavenly traits You give Lord and call them to this family. Restore the natural rhythms of mom’s heart and calm those of the family. In Jesus Name we pray and say THANK YOU — YOU are faithful.

She was allowed to come home last night, she’s still having chest pain, but apparently some people live with that all their lives (according to the Dr.). So far the Dr.’s haven’t been able to help, mainly they’re just looking to see what the problem is now.

Thank you, and God bless you too,

Lifting your mom, family and her medical team up in prayer, Joshua! I’m specifically including this prayer for you: “You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You” (Is 26:3). This passage always calms me in the midst of storms.

    Blessings to all of you,

Joshua, I will be praying for her and your family. She is in good hands with a son like you and the Lord who is the “great Physician.” Keep us posted.

Thank you Cathy for your prayers.

The doctor decided (rather reluctantly) that it would be alright for my mom to return home. They still don’t know exactly what the problem is, but they currently are suspecting that it may not have anything to do with her heart at all, but some different area of her body that is causing pain in the general area of her heart. I’m not exactly sure where we’re going to go from here, but I’m hopeful that God, (who, as you pointed out, is the great Physician) will help her to get better.

      Thank you,

Joshua, I thought I had a heart attack many years ago and the doctors were stumped when my EKG showed a normal reading. Fast forward about 10 years later and the same chest pain hit me again, so I started doing some research and found this (for me) is a symptom of my fibromyalgia called Costochondritis. I still get this chest pain every so often, and it lasts a day or two. I’m not saying that’s what your mom is going through but if you’re interested, here’s a link to read more about it:

        I hope this helps!

        Blessings & prayers,

Thank you, I’ve looked into it, and it actually seems rather like what my mom has. I’ll ask her if she has the symptoms, and maybe we’ll ask the doctor.

        Thank you for the help,
